What makes Stevia leaves sweet?
Leaves of Stevia contain key compounds called steviol glycosides. These glycosides are of four types, namely Stevioside, Rebaudioside A, Rebaudioside C and Dulcoside. Sweetness characteristics are attributed to Stevioside and Rebaudioside A, while the other compounds impart a bitter or liqourice aftertaste to the leave. Stevioside and Rebaudioside A compounds in pure form are about 150 to 300 times sweeter than sugar.

What is the difference between ‘CheeniKum’ natural sweetener and Stevia?
Though Stevia has been commonly used to sweeten foods, it often contains a bitter aftertaste. The difference with CheeniKum™ is the key component of the stevia plant, which is rebaudioside. By taking the best-tasting part of the Stevia plant, CheeniKum™ offers a brand-new way to experience sweetness, naturally. Also, currently the term ‘Stevia’ is loosely used to define not only the plant but also a number of sweetening products derived from Stevia.

How is CheeniKum natural sweetener processed from Stevia leaves?
CheeniKum natural sweetener begins with a leaf, not in a lab. Process of creating CheeniKum starts with completely organic, naturally cultivated and harvested leaves of Stevia plant. Leaves are shade-dried and then steeped in fresh water in a process similar to that of making tea. This unlocks the best tasting sweet components of the leaves, which are then refined to make CheeniKum - only pure, food-grade sweetness.
